Being awake at 4 am isn't fun. But it has some perks. Catching up with Maren, took/posted pics of the apartment (so pretty), and now getting ready to put Christmas card list in order.

Well happy Friday world!
Today is so much better than yesterday. Thank heavens!
I'll deal with the invite situation (like I said, who needs to sleep anyway). I got my assignment in last night. I talked to Melissa (always renewing). And I got through some major laundry., which makes a huge difference in my bedroom environment.
Things at work are good - hoping to be extended past the end of the year - keep your fingers crossed.
I only have 2 assignments left for this term, and then 3 finals. Yay! Then I will have my fist semester under my belt!
Adam snuck up on me and kissed me downstairs. So much love!

BIGGER CRAP
I got a message from Tina today telling me that work is about to swamp her with overtime, which means that, quite likely, the night we had picked out to do up the wedding invites won't work. Since December is already super busy, I only have, like, 3 other days I can do it (and then there is Tina and Adam's schedule to think about).
The point of doing them was so that I could work on them in between school semesters, which is likely not going to happen. And since next ssemester I have 3 classes instead of just 2, I'm ticked off and stressed.
I listened to everyone when they said to wait, and there was lots of time to get them done, and not to worry about it, and now look what's happened.
Jesus Fucking Christ. I'm pissed off. Not listening to people anymore. Unless they are living my life and my schedule for me, not doing it. But hey - who needs to sleep, or rest, or have down time? Who needs to have time for their relationship? Or for family? Hello, who has to have time to shower on a regular basis???

Progress
So the painting is done! Thank goodness. There are a couple of touch-ups to do, but that is all, and the color turned out nicely. I was a little worried before we did the 2nd coat, but as usual, we made a great choice.
So the rest of my week is about my home-life. Putting things back together, re-decorating, catching up on housework and homework, and getting some Christmas shopping done. Not to mention the day-to-day life things that need to go back to normal.
Christmas Eve is in 1 month! Yay! I woke up this morning with Silver Bells in my head. I think it's time to start getting ready!

Happy Monday world.
Or something like that.
Weekend was super busy but pretty good. Friday Adam and I taped up the apartment and did some mid-night Christmas shopping (only time we can get around the store these days with the holiday rush on). I found a cute stroller for Kory and Kim, on a really great sale so I can't wait to go pick it up (they have more coming in because they were out). Also picked some things up for Katelin and Taylor, so at least they're done. I'm thinking of trying to find audio books for Dana, since she could listen to books without any help from anyone else, which may give her a sense of independence.
Saturday we went to the valley and put the deposit on our wedding ceremony backdrop - and it's so 
pretty. I can't wait!
pretty. I can't wait! Saturday night was filled with a little annoyance, but made better with Star Trek - what an awesome movie! Holy crap, how great was that?!?!? And Blue-Ray - now I see what the hype is all about.
Painting yesterday. By Wednesday the place should be back in order, and then it'll be time to catch up on the rest of the household stuff that went on hold.
Life is grand. Back to work!

I am looking forward to the holidays for so many reasons! I can't believe how Christmas-spirited I am. I want to decorate, and bake, and cook big meals, and drink and be merry. I can't wait. I picked up my cards last night. Yay! December 1st, here they come!
Exam is tonight - I'm not sure if I'm ready but I want it over with. Anatomy final is in 2 weeks, then the Intro To Nursing Final is in 3 weeks. OVer the holidays I have to do WHMIS, OH&S, and First Aid/CPR. Should be grand. I wonder if I'll be able to read a book for fun??

Is the week done yet?
This is the breakdown of my week:
Tonight - skipping work to study
Tomorrow - exam, and Adam starts stripping the walls
Thurs - pick up paint, tape the walls, go to New Moon
Fri - first coat of paint, plus 2 assignments due
Sat - get up early and do 2nd coat of paint, be in Middleton for 2 pm, come back, plans with you
Sun - get up and put house back together, touch up as required, try to catch up on laundry and dishes
Can you say tired? I can!
Found out yesterday that Kim and Kory are having a baby boy!!!!!! His name will be William - how wonderful is that?? I'm so excited - and so is everyone else. Yay! I'm going to have a nephew!

So last night Tina, Adam and I decided to try out some yoga at the Scotia Square Nubody's. I'm very sore now. The class was alright, but the instructor was a bit of a quack. Adam and I both want to do it again, but we'll likely look for a different instructor.
So then I, in all my brilliance, got up this morning and took in a Fit Basic class as the Nubody's in Clayton Park. I couldn't do some of the things we were supposed to. Oops. But I got a great workout out of it.
So then (again with the brilliance) Adam and I met up with Mike, Krystal and Jody for lunch, where I decided to indulge in a Moxie's size drink. LOL. I was trashed.... after all the working out, and the double-size drink, I was trashed. Then I came home for a nap.
Now I'm staying in (away from the fun of games night - boo) in order to prep for a BS exam about things I have no idea about (because we've received little to no direction). Yipee.
Tis life I guess. off I go!

What a day, what a day. Starting customer contact today - should be good. Got offered overtime, also should be good.
Yesterday, I discovered cooking with pesto - and loved it!
Back to regular gymming now. Must see difference by Christmas.
Also discovered a show called Eastwick - which is based on the movie. It's really great, so of course it was cancelled. And Dollhouse was cancelled too. What is with these Networks? they spend all that money to make a show, and then all they do is put it in a crap time-slot and watch it fail. Poo.

**Edit - I just found out I'm getting paid for Rememberance Day. Score! NSPower rocks!!!

That about sums up my day so far.
Hoping to meet Ingrid for lunch - haven't heard back from her yet though.
Need more sleep. But I have to work tonight at the armouries and then do the Remembrance Day stuff tomorrow. Hmmm - maybe I should have a drink tonight.
Need to start working on Christmas cards soon - it's crossed my mind a few times, but I haven't done anything about it yet. And now that I know Melissa has done hers I won't feel so silly. Wahoo! I more thing done.
Found out I have to write my nursing exam before next Friday. I still have no idea what's going to be on it.....meh. I can BS my way through nursing theory.

Monday morning already? Nah! Not true. Okay - well true, but why?
Weekend was good - aside from being horridly sick. But other than that it was fabulous! I got a few things at the Halifax Forum Craft Show (can't specify what on here because someone reads it). Went to dinner with friends and got a birthday cake! (Opa is sooooo yum!)
Found out Kim might be having twins! Holy crow! I have no idea how Kory will handle that one (I have no idea how I would handle it either). Poor Kim must be so stressed with everything that is going on. I can't imagine the stress of being preggo and not settled somewhere. Oy!
I'm noticing I'm in a really big Christmas mood this year! I can't wait to decorate! I may have to wait for Tycho to get here (Adam might insist) but I might be one of those people that start on December 1st! We're painteing next weekend though, so that should help tide me over. We made a few small changes this past weekend (thanks Adam!) and what a difference it made in the dining room already. I can't wait to see the place all painted!

I have the most amazing man in the world.
Tonight we went out to celebrate my week: my job, my birthday, my 2 A+ assignments and my A+ midterm, and it was wonderful.
We went for dinner and a movie, which can be considered (by some) to be boring, but not when you're with your best friend. We saw Astro-Boy (which rocked) and then we went to the Opa downtown. We had a wonderful candle-lit meal, I discovered the wonders of yummy-sovlaki (sp?), and then...THEN we got up and slow danced in the middle of the restaurant.
Adam, I love you. More than anything else in this life. I'm the luckiest woman in the world, and I know it.
I love you.

So yesterday was one hell of a great day!
I got my last two Intro To Nursing assignments back, and got 100% on both. Yahoo! So thanks to Melissa and Maren for letting me interview you for assignment #2. And the last assignment was worth 10% of my final grade, so double-yahoo!
Then yesterday I wrote my Anatomy & Physiology midterm, and thanks to the world of NSCC, I got my grade right away. And ....A+ So I'm super happy with that - and it was worth 25% of my final grade.
So all in all, I had a rockin day yesterday. I'm so please with my hard work!
Oh - also got the H1N1 shot, and my arm still hurts. Bleh.
But OMG Yay!
