It's been awhile.....sorry!
Hello all!
I know it's been awhile, but so much has been going on. I'll take you through it.
First, and foremost, some close friends of mine are going through a very rough time. Andy & Andrea (Andrea a roommate of mine for 2 1/2 years) lost their home to a fire on Sunday. The story is on the link below:

Next, last week was a really rough health week for me. I ended up being off work (again) for the week, and on some really harsh (read wonderful) narcotics. I'm feeling loads better now, but the turn around happened when the doc put me on a nerve-specific painkiller. It has completely changed things. I feel so much better, I'm not dizzy, I'm not in much pain, and I have some restored energy. What a difference! I need to take care not to get a head of myself; I need to take my time, and be wary of doing too much too soon, but all in all: me likey meds! lol

Slowly getting things moved over to Adam's. It's going to take quite some time, but it feels great! There's nothing left on my walls, so now I actually have to start the packing process. Woohoo! It's likely I'll be spending most of my time over at his place now. Although you can bet I'm going to have one big girlie sleepover before the big move!

Taking a step
So today I ordered our new phone/Internet/television service, as well as put in my cancellation orders for my current utilities. I am thoroughly enjoying getting ready to move. Woo woo! (That's right, I'm a "Woo Girl"!)
I also delivered my first box to the building!
*sigh* - I can't wait to live with my man!
Oh - and I got beautiful flowers last night! *melt*
Also can't wait to feel better - feel like crap today. Argh.

So this link should take you to see what our apartment will look like; just scroll across until you see Plaza 2 bdrm at the top of the sketch). Except you have to use your imagination to flip the image. I'm so excited! Painting... moving... shacking up... oh yeah!
Pssst - call is out for helpers on Feb 7 & 8 for painting. Tina, Jen U, Jen V - will you lend a hand?
Adam and I went out to celebrate tonight. He's such a sweetheart! He's passedout cold right now, and I think I'm about to join him. Sleep = good.
So I'm back to work on half days starting tomorrow. I'm a little nervous about it, I'm not sure what type of reception I'm going to get. Everyone was pretty rude when I first got sick, so I'm expecting a bit of a cold shoulder tomorrow. And I'm sure I'll have a sit-down with my supervisor - who irritates the living hell right out of me. Argh. But on the other hand, I'm kind of excited to go back too. Human interaction and feeling like my time is worth something to someone is good for my ego. Earning my paycheck is good too. Only 2 months left in the contract though - yikes. Then I will have to see what happens next. But that it thinking a little ahead. I think I will start with getting through tomorrow first. One day at a time!
And thanks for being so happy for me Tina! It's nice to hear someone else say it out loud!

New Apartment
Adam and I have gotten a new apartment. One came open in his building today, and we got it. 7th floor, 2 bdrm with balcony! It's bigger than I thought it would be, and has a ton of storage! I'm super excited! I'll be moving throughout Feb, and taking official possession Mar 1st. Yippee!

Hello all!
Well, although I have annoinced it happily, I think I'm starting to believe it. It seems so surreal. But I couldn't be happier!
We had to go on a waiting list for a 2 bedroom. It a little disappointing, but for the best I think. I'm not feeling all that well (right now I'm finding out the hard way that I pushed myself WAY too hard earlier this week), so it'd be nice to be a bit better when the move happens. Also, it gives us both time to go through our things, and purge what we don't want/need, decide on who is keeping what, and to figure out how we want to decorate. We've already been looking at paint colours, and I think we have the right one for the kitchen/bathroom. The master bedroom will be a darker colour (along the lines of what I wanted before) and the office and main room are still undecided. So excited!!
So Alice's blog mentioned that Ellen's wedding is being planned for August. Excellent! Happiness alla round! Adam & I have our i year anniversary on the 22nd (yea) so it'll be celebreating all around! And dammit - I better be drinking by then! ahahahahahahaha
So for all the girlies out there, who love being girlie - I have a new website for you. www.theknot.com - it's a place where you can sign up, and add things to your own private notebook, and start planning your wedding/logging ideas! I'll admit, I go there to play Fantasy, and I know Jen U and Mindy are on it. It's awesome! hehe I'm actually using the bridal registry list as a checklist for moving in with Adam. lol
