Tonight we booked our rehearsal dinner site, picked up our thank you cards, and went suit shopping. We even made it to the gym.
It's been productive, and I'm glad for it!

Happy Monday world!
Adam and I made the most divine meal last night with quinoa and tofu and kale - it was delish! I hope to introduced more people to it in the near future. Yum!
At work today I had to write the date for the first time this year. How crazy is it that it's 2010? I mean, really? I've been alive for nearly 30 years - that's a long time. And 2010? In the 80's this was the far-off future that would hold all sorts of new wonderous things...well it does by comparison (hello internet!).
Classes start next Friday - woo! Back to study study! I'm looking forward to it actually. Not the stress as much, but the learning for sure.
Not to mention I'm getting married in 7 months and 18 days! Eeek!

Holy crow! What a day this has been! I do believe that winter is officially here ladies & gentlemen!
It has been snowing since last night, and we have been hunkered down inside with Adam, myself, Maren and Rowan. It's been wonderful! Nothing but visiting, being lazy, and enjoying some good food. I think I finally get to enjoy the holidays! Yahoo!
By the way - the roads are very icy.
So I've had some people ask me about resolutions. I don't make them - I don't really see why the beginning of a new year is any better time to start working towards a goal. I made one one, and I achieved it, and that was wonderful, but I have enough things to work on.
For me this year, I will:
a) work on my nursing diploma
b) get married
c) spend a night in an island after a kayak trip (pre-wedding)
d) spend a day at the spa (pre-wedding)
e) take a trip (honeymoon)
Well, yup. That's enough for me. But hey - let's not knock it. Let's see if I can pull it off with some grace and dignity.
Happy New Year all! I hope that, whatever the year brings you, you enjoy yourself. And remember that if all else fails, just dance your way through it!

Happy New Year!
It is the end of of 2009 - wow!
This is my last year to be in my 20's. It's the year I got engaged. It's the year Adam and I decided to move in together, and did.
It's the year that Micheal Jackson died, Brittney Murphy died, and the Canadian government died....twice.
It's the year that I grew up.
It's also the end of the decade.
10 years ago I graduated from high school. 10 years ago I hadn't lived in Wolfiville, Saint john, Fredericton, Calgary, Edmonton or Halifax. I didn't know my younger brothers, hadn't lost my grandfather, hadn't lost friends to Afghanistan, and hadn't been out drinking in a bar.
This decade has been full of so many things. So many that it's a little tearful to say goodbye to it. This was the decade that I became an adult in. This is the decade that I realized my identity in. This is the decade that gave me the life experiences that helped me to decide what kind of person I'm not. This is the decade I met, and agreed to marry, my soon-to-be husband.
2000 - 2009 will be they years I was grown up but had no children. When my children look back on it, it will be ancient to them - yet they will be there for the majority of my life. They will look at it they way I regard the late 60s and early 70s. It will be the time before I was married to Adam. It will be the end of the years as an unmarried woman.
Good-bye 2009. Thanks for everything - I had a wonderful time.

Happy Christmas!
A wonderful holiday, with wonderful family, and a wonderful stomach bug to finish the season.
Okay, well, perhaps the stomach bug isn't wonderful, but the holiday and family were perfect.
Christmas morning was so much fun! It was the first time I've had a little one there to jump for joy that Santa has been there. It was adorable, and certainly hit the point home that Christmas is for the children.
That being said, Adam and I woke Tycho up at 5:45 a.m!
Adam and I spent much of our time in recent weeks travelling to various family affairs, and seeing people we scarcely spend time with.
Tasha, my sister-in-law, introduced Adam and I to a fruit I hadn't heard of: persimmons. They are a delight!
Now to fight this bug that has been plaguing me for the last 66 hours. Yes, I'm counting.

Best Fiancé Ever
Okay - so last night Adam suprised me with a gift.
He called me into the bedroom (we have company right now) and on my dresser were 2 lit candlesm 3 light pink gerbera daisies, and a pewter jewellery box, with my name engraved on the top, and on the front cover it said "8 Months Until Our Day".
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
How amazing is that?!?!?! I felt so loved, and so respected! And now I have a place to put my jewelery! He's so amazing!
Adam - you're so amazing!
Also this week - got my final marks back - 91 in ANAP and 94 in PRNS. I'm very pleased with that.
Christmas is in 3 days!
